Vaccinations
Protecting your puppy with essential immunizations for a healthy, happy life
Importance of Vaccinations
Vaccinations are your puppy’s first line of defense against serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. At Crown Bulldogs, we ensure every English Bulldog puppy receives age-appropriate initial immunizations before going to their new home. English Bulldogs may be sturdy in build, but they still require proper protection during their early development. Timely vaccinations help safeguard your puppy as they grow, explore new environments, and interact with people and other pets. Establishing a consistent vaccination schedule with your veterinarian is essential to maintaining long-term health and well-being.
Essential Vaccinations
Vaccinations are a vital part of protecting your English Bulldog puppy from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. Below is a general guide to core and recommended immunizations. Always follow your veterinarian’s advice for a schedule tailored to your puppy’s specific needs and your local regulations.
Canine Distemper (CDV)
Protects against a highly contagious and potentially fatal viral disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems.
Canine Parvovirus (CPV)
Guards against a severe intestinal virus that can be life-threatening, especially in young puppies. Early vaccination is critical.
Canine Adenovirus (CAV-2)
Provides protection against infectious hepatitis and certain respiratory illnesses. This is included in the DHPP combination vaccine.
Rabies
A legally required vaccination that protects against a fatal neurological disease transmissible to humans. Typically administered between 12–16 weeks of age, depending on local law.
